1. Is there any additional assembly cost? No, the price of our units includes professional, on-site construction by a Backyard Buildings and More certified installer. 2. How long does it take to get my building/playset delivered? We pride ourselves on our quick delivery times. Upon placement of your order, a Backyard Buildings and More associate will contact you within 48 hours to schedule a tentative installation date. 3. How long does it take to construct my building/playset? Although there are exceptions, the majority of our buildings are constructed within one day. If you are purchasing a 12’ wide or larger building, please allow 2 to 3 days for completion. 4. What should I do to prepare the site prior to your arrival? Not much. We do require the construction area to be cleared and prepared to within 6” of level, that we have at least 3’ of clearance around and above the building site (4 feet if your building is larger than 160 sq. ft.). We also ask you place four stakes in the ground where you want the four corners of your building and a fifth stake where you would like the center of the door opening. We will also need access to electricity within 150 feet of the unit and unobstructed access to carry your materials to the building site. We will take care of the rest! 5. Do I need to be home while my building/playset is being constructed? Typically, we will be out to construct your purchase within 21 days (weather permitting).It is not necessary to be present for every phase of the construction process. We do ask however that you are initially available to show our installer the proper placement of your unit and are also available upon completion to do a walk through inspection with our installer. If not already arranged, final payment will be requested at this time. 6. What about covenant restrictions or permits? It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the building is permitted in the intended location. We strongly recommend verifying your installation by contacting your Home Owners Association and the local Building Department. If stamped drawings, schematics or additional information is necessary, please give us a call, we’re here to help. Depending on the specific requirements, additional charges may apply. 7. What is your standard warranty? In short, simply the best. Backyard Buildings and More has been constructing buildings nationwide for more than 30 years. Storage Buildings come with a 2, 5 or 10-year top-to-bottom, worry-free limited warranty (see series for specifics). An optional premium package that includes an extended warranty is also available. Playsets come with a 3-year limited warranty on labor, hardware and non-wood components and a 10-year limited warranty on all wood components and Woodguard. If your building/playset needs to be repaired, please give us a call. 8. What size and style building is right for me? Backyard Buildings and More makes it easy as 1-2-3 to pick out just the right storage solution. First, choose your style from one of our three popular designs. Second, choose the size that best fits your needs for today and tomorrow’s storage needs. Small buildings are economical and fit smaller backyards. Medium sized buildings are perfect for riding mowers, workshops and hobby areas. Larger buildings are the ultimate in storage for larger recreational vehicles, motorcycles and other oversized equipment. Lastly, choose your option package(s) or special options that customize the building to exactly meet your needs. 9. What kind of paint do you recommend for my building? We recommend a premium quality, 100% acrylic latex paint. This paint is easy to work with and is offered at your local hardware or paint store. Don’t forget to caulk all horizontal seams before painting for a well protected, professionally finished result. 10. I have an existing concrete slab, can you build on it? Although the vast majority of our buildings are constructed on our superior floor system and sufficient for any application, we do have the ability to construct your Backyard Buildings and More building on an existing slab provided the slab is level within ½” and appropriately sized. Because of the individual nature of each slab, please contact us to determine if your slab meets our specifications. Due to the additional installation labor and extra materials needed to properly secure the shed to your slab, there is no reduction in overall price. 11. What types of standard building materials do you use? Backyard Buildings and More products are meant to last, therefore we use many of the same building materials used to construct your home:
12. Are your installers insured? Having someone in your backyard that you can trust is important. We require all of our installers to maintain appropriate liability, vehicle and workman’s compensation insurance. In addition, all installers must pass a rigorous background check and complete our training program before becoming certified as a Backyard Buildings and More installer. 13. Can my building be moved after it has been constructed? In most cases, depending on the size of the unit and the distance required, your building can be moved. Please keep in mind that each Backyard Buildings and More shed is hand crafted on your lot and moving the building will void your warranty. That is why we request your presence at the beginning of the construction phase, to ensure you choose the proper location for your building the first and hopefully last time. 14. What payment options do you provide? Payment can be made by check or major credit card. Upon ordering your Backyard Buildings and More building or playset, we request that a 50% deposit is made on the unit. Upon completion of your building/playset and final walk through with our installer, we request the final payment for your building/playset (walk-in orders ONLY. Online orders are billed in full). We also provide various financing programs to assist you in fulfilling your storage needs for today as well as tomorrow. 15. You’ve built my building/playset, I love it, but I want more options... We offer a wide array of options and accessories and can customize each building/playset to adequately meet your needs. When placing your order with one of our sales associates, please be sure to communicate your needs and intended use, they’ll ensure you get the appropriate accessories. If for some reason you feel that an additional accessory or option is needed at a later date, please give us a call and we’ll be glad to quote you an installed price. Please remember, it’s always more cost effective to order all of your options during the initial purchase. 16. What if I'm unhappy with my purchase? We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If it's not right, we'll make it right. Your complete and total satisfaction is guaranteed! 17. Can I purchase one of your products on-line? Absolutely! Click on any series, style or building. Enter your zip code and pricing will appear with a "Customize" button. From here, you can either quote your desired product or buy now. If you wish to purchase now, follow the prompts until your order is completed. One of our associates will call you within 48 hours to schedule your installation. 18.
